Ned No-One joined Noddy on Friday 1 December 2006 on 2HHH 100.1FM (Sydney) to present a NZ flavoured radio show - 7 to 10pm. Listeners of the Common Thread were treated to a plethora of great NZ songs from the late 70's to early 90's. What a shame nothing playable existed from the No-Ones, as the Westleigh party in progress at the time would have gone off if "Ponsonby" hit the airwaves that evening.

I caught a few of the songs on Friday night in between downing a steiny or two whilst I was driving to work. Never thought I would ever hear of that rascal Ned No-One ever again. Saw his band in 1980 - what an inspirational source of inspiration to the early NZ music scene, they paved the way for many to follow. That Noddy was a brave man to have him on the show.

Did anyone record this gem?. It would be ideal as a pod cast or could even be gifted to the Manurewa library. I hope so in order that us unfortunate kiwis may be able to catch up on Ned No-ones version of this important piece of New Zealand music history.
The lost no-ones tapes are a real tragedy for kiwi music buffs. Maybe they will be rediscovered in a Onehunga opp shop. The search continues.
